Well, not exactly new :) Just new to me!

Went to a town garage sale this morning and picked this baby up. 1989 Trek 7000 for $45. I was looking at it, and an older guy came up and asked about, I got a bit worried, but when the owner said it ought to be taken to a shop for a tune up, he left :)

From what I can tell so far it seems like a heck of a deal. LX components and it's aluminum and not steel! What also caught my eye were the welds, very clean and it's made in the states!

My plan is to make it into a commuter bike for this summer when I get a job. Will replace the stem, handlebar, brake levers, shifters, tires, and a rack and it should be decent.
