I need a stem for my highracer. I'm not interested in the flip it type stems. I just want something that will go straight up like the stems on a Volae. Where can I get something like that?

Try Hostel Shoppe - Volae is getting them from some place. I think Barcroft has used similar bars - contacting them might be a back-up.

Check out Power On Cycling's stems and risers link and the kit at the bottom of the handlebars link. They might sell you just the stem and adapter (if needed) from the kit.

I saw that, it look like a quill stem for a threaded headset. I need threadless. It seams that a flip it stem is all I can find.

If you've got a 1" stem, simply use a piece of 7/8" tubing. If you're going to be pulling on your handlebars, I recommend using chromo, otherwise aluminum is cheap and easy to find at the hardware store. If it needs to be stiff, you can use the old sailor's trick and stuff a dowel down the inside of the tube. Stick it down the steerer tube and clamp it in place with an appropriately sized pinch assembly. At the top you can cap it off with a handlebar end plug and use a 1" threadless stem of any length and angle that makes you happy.

Edit: Doh! I just re-read and saw that you needed threadless! never mind! Call Hostel Shoppe and ask what they parts they have!

Call or shoot them an email with what you need. I have found them to be very customer orientated. They might be able to cobble something up for you. It's bound to be cheaper if they can, if all you need is the mast and headset clamp. The kit is for a quill to threadless conversion only because it has the adapter. I believe the mast will fit a 1" threadless.
