Well, i knew it would happen no matter what i did. From the day i started mountain biking, i knew i was gonna crash.

Fortunatly, it was a pretty good crash and i was with my friends

I was taking a corner on a trail next to a cliff. I was going way to fast to take the turn and i was headed for the cliff. I knew i had to do something other than fly off the cliff.
I jerked the steering wheel hard away from the cliff and my front wheel was grabbed by a rock.

as I flew over the handlebars, my first thought was "crap, my bike's gonna go over the cliff"
then i realized i was more important and twisted around and landed hard on my right shoulder (bear in mind, iwas going really fast".

just because i have such "good luck" the trail leveled out where i landed so i hit hard enough to almost break my shoulder. Instead i only got a seriously pain that rushed through my head, my arm twisted back making it hurt really really bad, and i scraped against the rocks horribly.

My friend who was biking behind me jumpedoff his bike and ran over to me. He really freaking out. I started laughing because i thought it was an awesome crash and my bike didnt go over the cliff

We started biking again until i noticed there was some serious blood flow happening on my shoulder.

I started freaking out and biked as fast as i could back home.

I made it there prety fast, faster than i expected and wrapped up my arm.

Its not realy bleeding much anymore.
I must have just a scrape, not a deep gouge...

I think i'm pretty lucky, it probably cant compare to alot of your people's crashes but hey, i had to start somewhere...

Well, I'm darn glad you didnt go over that cliff. Hope it scared you enough to know your limitations a bit better. Expect a bit more pain tomorrow morning. No, on second thought, expect alot more pain tomorrow morning.

I learned something else today that involves bikes and the ground.

Never hit a 16foot dirtjump on a bmx without brakes, and a K-Rad on the front, you'll wash out and get a swollen knee and ankle, tire rash and new shin holes.

glad you're ok. For your next big crash, inspect your wounds right after you get up and wash out the dirt. While it may help you heal faster, it's important to do in case you find something all screwed up that you don't necessarily feel (i/e punctures, bones). If you are really messed up and bleeding hard, but can still ride, consider walking back to civilization as riding really hard and fast may make you lose more blood faster (depending on how jacked you are).
Or, just sit there and make your buddies do all the sprinting back to town.

Well of course you're going to crash riding a bike with a steering wheel. Get some proper handlebars and you will have much better control.

Now about that rock, did it have fingers or claws or what? :D

Well, my should and neck hurt a little today (i had to run the mile  ) but it wasnt bad enough to stop me from getting out on my bike again. I took a shor run but i was fine.

Its definitly feeling better....

oh wethepeople, what does a 16' jump mean? How do they measure jumps?
sorry for being noobish but i might as well learn now than seem stupid in front of my friends...

geez i gotta get some sleep, i cant keep my eyes open

i'll post tommorow... after biking!
