I would really like to have a nice singlespeed built from the ground up.
I'm thinking of having Bob Jackson build a singlespeed frame with normal road geometry to match my existing Bob Jackson Messina. Basically it would have 120mm rear spacing and normal road spacing on the front so I could have a quick release hub. Of course it would still have a place to mount a front and rear brake.
I like chrome so I think a chromed front fork would be sweet.
What are the prettiest shiny cranks available?
I really would like a cool old school stem.

Didn't you JUST buy one?

Old school stem = Cinelli

Shiny, pretty cranks = Campy

Yes I just purchased a low end singlespeed. I'm looking to the future man. A new custom Jackson will take at least 12 weeks.
I love those Campy cranks.

Front hubs are 100mm on both track and road bikes, so there's no reason you can't run a QR hub on a track fork.

I like those cranks too, but not with that stem! Someone call the fashion police! With that stem you need the old style fluted campy cranks.

I didn't realize both track and road had the same front fork spacing. That's going to make my life alot easier. I really like a quick release on the front.
