But, as much as I try, no matter how much I brim over with self-righteous indignation, I simply can not hate Mom's Day (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mothers_Day).

Don't wait until Sunday. Tell your mom you love her. She'll be happy to hear it.

Oh yeah, and Halloween rocks, too. But that goes without saying.

That's okay. :) For me my mom was just "some person who lived with us" and aside from trying to drown me once, has never cared or ever done a single thing for me, that wasn't to her advantage.

That sucks TG, how old were you? You didn't continue to live with her after that did you?

For a few months. I was recovering from car accident and losing my job at Citi because they shut down a location. And it's not quite what I described. It was more like, "oh he's drowning, Im the only person who can swim, I guess I'll just stand here by the shore and smile and not call/cry for help in case somebody else wants to go save him."

Did you save yourself or did someone else see you drowning?

I'm glad you survived.

 Holy ****, I'm sorry! No one should ever have to go through something like that. :(

I'm not a fan of holidaze either, but I suppose most moms deserve a thank you day! :)

Mixture of luck, found something to stabilize myself, and my brother who knew even less about swimming then me tried to swim out and help me.
