I rode at Santos in Ocala again today, this time we decided to take videos and some more pictures. My friend who tacoed his wheel on a big drop finally nailed it today. Towards the end of the ride, I was riding up a board (You'll see me doing it in the video) and jumping it. I'd done it a thousand times, and then as we were about to head back to the parking lot, I hit it once more, only this time with some more speed and a bad takeoff. I ended up smashing my big ring all to hell, and landing on my face. My knee is swollen, with a golf ball sized welt, and my wrist is possibly broken.. we'll see how I feel tomorrow.. might go in for Xrays. But I figured you guys would enjoy the pics and videos we took. Just us playing around and riding some fun dropoffs. Hope you like them.

This was the jump I got hurt today on. This is a video from earlier in the day. Notice how smooth and easy the takeoff is. I'm not really sure how I crashed riding it after doing it so many times.

I thought this was a cool picture.

I guess I'll be taking the next two days off as well.... kinda sucks because my poor college student self needed the money. But that's life, I guess. Maybe if I'm healed enough and can walk again tomorrow I'll be able to work. But at this point it looks like I won't be riding this weekend.

ThanX for posting the pic and videos. I will admit that I was hoping to see you crash in that last one. I mean, if you have to dump it, @ least dump it on tape!

I'm joking, of course. I hope that nothing is broken, and that you're back on the trail soon!! :)

I wish I had gotten it on video as well. I honestly have no idea how I crashed like that. But I'm okay... a little battered and bruised.. but at least I have Trollie to take care of me :p

Glad you guys are enjoying the vids. It always seems like the best stuff happens when the camera isn't around, right? Is there anything in particular that you guys like to see in videos that we could try for next time we go out? We'll have an actual camcorder next time instead of just the digital camera, so the videos should be much higher quality. The resolution isn't all that great on these videos. We're planning on starting a website soon as well... so these photos and videos will deffinitely be added to the site.

you definately need to get some closer shots for a longer period of time. Those short little clips would be a hell of a lot cooler if strung together. And we need to see the carnage. What good is making a stunts video if nobody gets hurt?:crash: :D

Yea... those videos were really low quality. Basically they were just an experiment to see how they'd look. We're going to use a real camcorder soon. The thing is... we were all set up and riding in that area, but nobody crashed. Then as we were coming back from riding an actual trail, I decided to hit that jump again, and it was over from there. I wish I had gotten it on film... I think it would have looked pretty awesome.

I'm feeling much better today guys. I can walk better, but my wrist is still kinda sore, and now stuff that wasn't sore yesterday (My jaw, neck, shoulders, etc) is killing me. But all in all I'm doing fine.

Looks like it's time to get a Full Face helmet. Glad to hear you are feeling better today. Heal fast!
