General Cycling Discussion - Would Our Webmaster Turn Down $100,000?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

In today's news, a Salvation Army officer in Florida refused a $100,000 check from a guy who won $3 million in the lottery. He said it would be hypocritical to take the money, since the Army preaches against gambling. If I sent $100,00 to Bike Forum, would our highly eithical webmaster turn it down? :D
If he didn't...I would accept it in his stead. PM me and I'll give you the info you'll need to give me the money. FWIW it would be charity seeing as how I don't have a job right now.

the people who get the donation from the Salvation Army won't know that it came from a gambling source, why not make some of the poor people happy, by accepting the said donation,

Exactly! How stupid to turn down such a generous donation!

I have to agree. Not taking the donation is not going to stop anyone from gambling. However, it is going to hurt the people who benefit from the charity. $100k goes a long way.

... And if they did I doubt they'd care anyway. You are exactly right, it's stupid to turn down a donation such as this one.
I'm sure all of the other donations they receive are from perfectly legitimate and above-the-board donors. ;)
