I have a trek 470 with rsx components. When I backpedal while in the highest gear, and the highest gear only, I get this very high pitched loud ringing noise. It is a steady ring as long as i am pedaling. if I push the rear derailleur to one side or the other the noise usually stops. any ideas what this could be?
