Hi

I also posted this under Bicycle Mechanics but got no answers. Any Tandem People that can comment on this.

S725X and Cordless Flightdeck compatability???? Anybody that uses the above combination?????. Any problems, loss of signal etc. I also intend getting the Cadence sensor extra. I need the Flightdeck as I use it on our tandem to determine what gears I am in. If any problems and I will still use the FD without the transmitter.

POLAR South AFrica is busy investigating for me as well. When I visit SA in two weeks I will have the Stoker Speed Sensor set for stronger radio transmission setting. POLAR indicated they can do this for me.

Thanx in advance

There shouldn't be a problem in that the Polar unit uses multiple frequencies and the likelihood of crosstalk occuring on more than one is pretty remote. I use an Ciclosport HAC4 wireless on the front of our tandem which has a single fixed frequency and Debbie uses an "own signal" Polar S720i on the back and we have never experienced crosstalk or interference from the HRMs or from the speed / cadence sensor transmitters.

Interference from my HID head light and high power lines is another story...

These are the instructions on how you move the jumpers on the Polar speed and cadence sensors to "boost' the transmission range:http://www.polarusa.com/service_repair/show_faq_con.asp?ID=26

Here's similar instructions, but with a photo of an open sensor to help pin-point the jumper location: http://www.pursuit-performance.com.au/polar/html/local/faq/faq_speed_cadence.html

Thanx Tandem Geek, we are flying south to SA next week. I will take the sensors to Polar SA to check out and set up for me. Your info will also be very valuable.

In the meantime we are enjoying my new S725X HRMonitors.... awesome equipment!!!!
