bought a used alum. soloist a few months back and have been really enjoying it. Did a mini sprint in San Dimas, I'm hooked. This morning I was doing a short brick workout & heard a snap, then rim rubbing against rear brake. I broke one of my rear spokes. Got it home - now what.
My wheels say Ritchey WCS OCR on the side, they have 16 spokes. Now minus one. My question is, I am on the heavy side now 195 down from about 215 3 months ago. Can the spoke be repaired? It broke at the base where it appears to attach to the hub. Now another one of the rear spokes has a funky kink in it. If I have to buy new wheel, what do you suggest for someone of my size/ weight, that would be durable and light as possible?
