Wow, what twisted logic to conclude that she's not a flight risk. no prior, no license, kill and run, conclusion:

"All I want to know is didn't she see him when he was riding his bike."

I really don't get it sometimes... In some cases you get a distracted motorist running into a cyclist riding predictably and abiding all traffic laws - and no charges are pressed. Other times you'll get a sidewalk biker (illegal, no?) being run over - and suddenly the driver is a murderer. Of course the hit-and-run and driving without a license are crimes, and the girl did probably do something very crazy while driving - but why isn't it considered a murder in the first case???!!!
