Hi,

I recently acquired a set of Mafac competition center pull brakes w/ mafac drilled levers and hoods. The odd thing is they are all gold annodized. (levers too) Has anyone ever seen these before? I did some searches but saw no gold ones. They are in real good condition so I don't know if I would use them as I am primarily commuting. They seem pretty flashy, is this a "70's" kind of thing?

Yup...more common than you think. Some 2000 models were anodized gold also. I have a set that is going on my red LeJeune. I have also seen Modolo and DiaCompe in gold also.

While we are on the subject...anyone have some Mavic gold 36o rims they want to part with for a reasonable amount?
