Hi all,

I'm a Brit based in Grenoble, and I've been running the Grenoble Cycling Pages since 1999. The free site provides information for cyclists planning to visit the French Alps.

www.grenoblecycling.com

I put the site together as I was taking photos, keeping a cycling diary and wanted to put my links in one place. The site has now grown with hundreds of photos of the mountain passes, races and and events in the Alps.

I've broken the site down into the different areas in the French Alps, with sections on Grenoble, the Chartreuse, Vercors and high Alps. I've also covered different towns in the Alps like La Clusaz, Bourg St Maurice and Barcelonnette, as well as a page on the Mont Ventoux. There is a section with photos from the races in the Alps with the Tour de France and Dauphine Libere included. I also have a links page with web links to events in the Alps including the Marmotte as well as accomodation.

I hope it helps in your planning if you're planning to make it to this part of the world.

Cheers, Russell

I _love_ that site! Thanks!

Sadly, I had to pass on a job offer in Chambčry (moved to Denmark instead), so I won't get to use it as much as I had wanted.

Mange tak!

I live in Montpellier, and have ridden all over Southern France, but I haven't attacked the Alps yet. France is one of the greatest cycling places in the world. Lots of tiny traffic free roads, courteous drivers, quaint villages with water fountains, awesome scenery, and an enormous scenic variation. Your pics are beautiful and make that region seem very enticing.
My wife and I have been planning our next ride, and the Alps were high on the list. However, we have decided to ride the Raid Pyreneen in mid June.
Bonne Route!
