I hopped on the Mike Garcia bandwagon and got a set of wheels. The rear hub is 10 speed specific. When installing the casette, does this mean I should't use the metal spacer between the hub and the largest gear? There is a flange on the freewheel body, so the spacer only slides about 1/2" from the tip of the axle anyway.

I have an ultegra 12-25 casette.

I actually already did this and it seems to be working fine on a short test ride. I just don't want my rear wheel to explode or something in the middle of my next long ride.

thanks for any ideas

Brian.

I think it's designed to explode on the fourth or fifth ride.
