I know that I have heard many on the forum talk about riding for a while and getting to the point of not really talking while riding. While we rarely talk about the actual riding, we have wanted to be able to talk about other stuff. so...

We just received a tandem talk from Precision Tandem for our triplet and it is wonderful. We hadn’t been experiencing major communication difficulties but it was always hard for me (the captain) to hear my stokette (4 yo). She talks very quietly. In traffic or winds, she could yell and I still wouldn’t hear her. Then there was the matter of talking with my rear stoker, my wife. We could hear each other fine but had to talk rather loudly. This made it difficult to achieve any degree of intimacy.

We received the tandem talk (with ultra headsets) yesterday and immediately plugged in and rode 21 miles in 25-30mph winds with sometimes heavy traffic. It was awesome! We could hear each other so well and the wind and traffic did not interfere with the microphones. It was so great to talk to each other in a normal (or quieter) speaking voice. We were able to talk about the flowers, the dogs, our day, sing songs…These will be a great asset on our trip across Kansas.

I couldn't agree more. The product is so good, that we mounted a Topeak phone case under the captains seat and put my Sanyo 5600 w/mp3 player in it and listen to it without a problem. Texas Winds 15-25mph.

Now I need to find a bar mount instead of Zip ties.

Ed Rios, of TandemTalk, makes one heck of a good product and he and Jane are great tandemistas!

Zip ties are always the lightest mounting option for anything.

They have a great web site. Price looks reasonable.
