Touring - Have you seen this? FUNNY

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Whoever wrote that is an experienced tour rider. My god help us.
Worth a look for sure - too funny!
Actually a very interesting site on the whole. Start at his HomePage (http://cyclingtrip.com/index.html)
I had actually read his journal entries for the Keys and So.Fl. before and was glad to see he took to the grass on 997 around Miami on the stretch where I did the same but this link got me interested in reading the whole journal and I am now in the middle of Montana in the wind, cold and rain lol. Definately has got me interested in a crosscontinent trip and notice our own Ivana contributed to the site with the route statistics.
Hey Moose,
there is a candy store in Scarborough Maine called Len Libbys that has a life sized chocolate
moose. I kid you not, the thing is about 6 feet tall, and weighs hundreds of pounds. They make good candy too.
late...I did not need another reason to want to take a tour in Maine!!
Hi,
well, it is a nice place in the summer. If you ever visit, I can offer a couple suggestions. One of the nicest bike rides in the state starts just a few miles from Len Libbys. It's called the Lighthouse Loop, 33 miles, and goes by a couple lighthouses. My favorite thing at Len Libbys is the dark chocolate covered cashews. In the summer, they make genuinely excellent ice cream; and their Needham ice cream is unique and delicous.
