Alright, I'm trying to save some money here...
I'm going to get a trials bike, but they're crazy expesive, right? The frame alone will cost me around 650 cdn...so I'm going to try to use components I already have.
I recently took apart a wheel that my brother wasn't using, it was on his Trek 4100. The wheel is a rear, and wouldn't do well for trials, so I'm thinking of salvaging the spokes and hub and buy a better rim and put it together. I was thinking of getting the Alex Dx32 rim, and lace it to my crappier hub for the time being. But, my question is, will the spokes be long enough?
I've heard from some bike shops that there are different spoke lengths, are they cut or do the readily come in different lengths?
Thanks for reading.
