BMX - What are the classes?
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I know there are the bmx classes like street, vert, flatland and so on, but what do they all mean?!?

Street=riding on the street, tricking off ledges, benches, stairs and all that.
Vert=Half pipes, big ramps.
And I dont really know how to explain flatland, so I'll let somebody else explain it.

Flatland is usually rolling along and doing a crapload of tricks where both wheels rarely, if ever, leave the ground - usually involving pegs and sometimes brakes.
And there's dirt, which is.. uh, riding on dirt :)
Jumps, rollers, berms, etc,

Can somebody please explain the difference between dirt and trail for me?

Dont worry about it, just ride what you like riding.

Dirt = trails, Trails = dirt

Not that it matters but:
Street=Handrails, ledges, gaps of some sort
Dirt=Trails, dirt jumps and such...
Flatland=Riding on the flat ground doing tricks without ramps, like hang fives, and megaspins (i dont know any other flatland tricks)
