so im going to buy a dk six pack which i have read great reviews of, but i was wondering how it would do in a race? would it do horrible or could it be done?

Waaay too heavy. Like probably about 10lbs too heavy. Race bikes and freestyle bikes are really different.
That said, if you're just going racing for the fun of it, do it. You'll probably still have a blast, even if you aren't all that competitive.
