Howdy,
My New Year's Resolution is to commute by bike 4.5 miles to campus (UCSB). I did this somewhat regularly in the past but then fell out of the habit. My current cheap, old mountain bike is not the right bike, so I need to find a good commuter bike and some spiffy accessories for comfort/fun/night in order to reduce the "reasons not to bike". I'll be parking the bike inside so theft is not much of an issue.
This probably sounds pretty wimpy to people (struggling to commute 4.5 miles in Southern Cal weather) but, hey, some biking is better than none.
Just saying "hi", I'll post specific questions in the commuters forum...
