Another perfect day. Glorious conditions (looks like summer has decided to bugger off for a while), breath-taking scenery and a beautiful 148km. Who can ask for more?

Amazing considering how much you complain about the heat.

I think the heat will be back soon enough. It was just overcast with a cooling southerly wind, so I decided to make hay while the sun wasn't shining so to speak.

Not worried about the temperature. Just the snow. My booties got ripped so my feet are cold from the wind. I've ridden -20.

I can remember riding this past summer and thinking this winter will be great. Well it's unseasonably cold, not freezing but cold for Florida. Anyway we have managed some "Chamber of Commerce" days .

As a matter of intest, yes I do. I'm planning a trip to Tasmania later this year, and parts of it are known for summer snowfalls.

Well, not to gloat either but Saturday's ride was nice 75 degree (F) weather down here in Arizona. Had to have been the best bike ride of the year!

chilblains are one step down form frostbite :( they are horrible lumpy painful swelling caused by freezing ur arse off on ur bike and having bad circulation :( when it gets warmer or when u get in from cycling in the cold the itching and the inflammation is so painful u want to climb the walls!!!! :(

Gloating from Temecula, CA ;)

This past Sunday's weather was perfection of the crisp whispering kind... an early 18 holes of golf was found in a river bed, at the foot of a some dull peaks, sparsely covered in textured radiant green speckled with sandy brown thickets and clean grey boulders, all remnants of our thankful last rain. Each hole was surrounded by trees that have turned into a golden juicy brown, with peppering of rich green pines and bushes reaching heartily for more of gods sprinklings. Ponds were mirrors to confuse me when looking upward. Later I found a dreamy ride under a sky filled with wind blown satin white puff clouds with streaks of baby blue seeping though caused by warn thermals...leaving those pedaling with 69* of perfection.

PS... We have to many people in So CA... so don't take this as an invite  :D
