I recall seeing an ad in ProCycling for a saddle that was rediculously expensive, but i can't remember the name of it. The ad showed it in a nice wooden box that it comes shipped in, and it said you get your name custom printed on the bottom.....it was also covered in some sort of skin (gator, snake, maybe?) i think.....anyone know what I'm talking about?

I think you're talking about the Selle Italia Preziosa... 1200 Euros. It's Iguana leather and I think there's some white gold involved too.

I think I'd buy a new frame instead...

thats the one, i thought i remembered it being over 1000 euros, but then told myself that was a little rediculous......but what do i know.

Owning one would, however, mean that I've reached a level in my life where I can purchase things with impunity and not even ask how much they cost. Don't know that I'll ever get there, but it's fun to dream about.

Maybe I'll just trade in my Flyte and buy the saddle, so I can bask in its glory on my couch. :D
