Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Godspeed cogs?

Hi Everyone... Anyone have experience or know anything about Godspeed cogs? Are they machined? Quality?

That's funny though. I tried Googling "Godspeed", "Godspeed cogs", etc., but all I ever came up with was info about the band.
I wonder if the Godspeed cogs are made by a framebuilder who just named them Godspeed for kicks.

Godspeed (http://www.godspeedcourier.com/) courier brand their own cogs? I smell some kind of rebranding if you're talking Bay Area.

They are new and I think they're made by summit or somesuch. I've seen them at a distro and they look nice and beefy (and goldish colored) but I've never ridden one. Not even sure if they've actually arrived. They're expensive, though, and look to be well-made.

I'm not sure, but I'm guessing that the name is more a reference to the famous SF courier company than to the band. Much like Panaracer with their T-Servs.

Thanks... I just bought one at an East Bay bike shop for $24.99. It is gold, but the "gold" around the teeth chipped off real fast after riding a few miles. Other than that, it seems solid and nice. I was just curious as to who made them. The guy who sold it to me at the bike shop didn't know, and the other guys there were too busy for me to bother them by asking. I thought I'd just google the info, but I didn't find anything. SO, I asked you fine folk...

Makes sense...one of the guys working at MontanoVelo also happens to work for the folks who distribute the cogs.

I know Godspeed makes a knockoff of the Surly Singelator mk I. That's where I know the brand name.
