Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Hi all. i have been reading that training in the morning (Whether it be riding or aerobics or whatever) is better for losing weight. does anybody have any experience with this or advice.
thanks

The idea is if you are depleted in readily accessible carbs due to an overnight fast you will tend to burn more fat and less sugar than otherwise .However it is usually advised to limit the aerobics to 1/2 hr or so to avoid sever carb depletion which could then shut off fat burning and cause muscle loss. While I don't usually train this way others who have weight loss as a priority report good results so I suggest you try it and see if it works for you.
For this to be effective, you should begin your workout with very low intensity, and through out you should maintain an aerobic state. (The minute you go anerobic you start to burn the already critically low glycogen reserves in your muscles).
that makes sense. thanks for that. i will have to give a try.
thanks again.
