I just had one from last year, dont know what made me remember it, but it made me laugh and remember some of the good times I had at my old school :).
I was at my old school on the AV team. We had a cable we called 'the snake' it was about 60lbs, and half as thick as my wrsit, and about 100 feet long. We used it for when we had to set up the speakers in the gym to all the amps and **** from the soundboard.
Anyways, I was on the balcony in the multi purpose room when my friend peter yelled for me to pass him the snake. Now the stairs werent very easy to walk down while not carying anything (steep, long and dark) so they would be hell to carry the snake down. I told him if he wanted it to come up and get it, and that I was to busy setting up the projector to bring it. He just yelled for me to throw it over the edge of the balcony, I told him it would brake some of the clips at the end and I wasnt going to. He said, in a way I will never forget "DONT WORRY, I'LL CATCH IT". With some heaving I threw it over the edge of the balcony, and peter accepted like a gift with outstretched arms.
I've never seen somebody hit the ground so hard from catching something. He was okay though.
