I just had one from last year, dont know what made me remember it, but it made me laugh and remember some of the good times I had at my old school :).

I was at my old school on the AV team. We had a cable we called 'the snake' it was about 60lbs, and half as thick as my wrsit, and about 100 feet long. We used it for when we had to set up the speakers in the gym to all the amps and **** from the soundboard.

Anyways, I was on the balcony in the multi purpose room when my friend peter yelled for me to pass him the snake. Now the stairs werent very easy to walk down while not carying anything (steep, long and dark) so they would be hell to carry the snake down. I told him if he wanted it to come up and get it, and that I was to busy setting up the projector to bring it. He just yelled for me to throw it over the edge of the balcony, I told him it would brake some of the clips at the end and I wasnt going to. He said, in a way I will never forget "DONT WORRY, I'LL CATCH IT". With some heaving I threw it over the edge of the balcony, and peter accepted like a gift with outstretched arms.

I've never seen somebody hit the ground so hard from catching something. He was okay though.

Yea, I get hit by random memories all the time, be they from a couple of days ago or from 10 years ago. Mostly they make me laugh out loud or smile at times when I shouldn't be laughing (like when I walk down the hallway) which wins me strange looks from random people walking by :o

YEah. My last BF response under thread of "Zabel's chamois." Sometimes one feels compelled to share one's trivia. ALmost totally irrelevant, but one has to do what one has to do.
They say you never forget any given experience in the entirity of one's life. ? I hate it when you recall some bizarre incident that feel better not shared.

When I was in my teens I got a lot of "random memories" from my childhood....I'd ask my mom about them and she said they wern't true...must have been remembering dreams. Weird eh?

And when I thought about them....they did seem a bit odd, so surely they were dreams. Like the movie machine that my grandfather kept in the top of a hall closet. It was only the size of a coffee maker, but he didn't take it out of the closet, he'd put me on his shoulders and sit in front of the closet for hours while I watched cartoon movies. That had to be a dream....too weird to be true.

I remember running around in circles in the living room. Electric football. Hot Wheels. The one-day-only lemonade stand. Improvised model rockets. The un-controlled motorized glider that almost made it over the treetops. Potassium Chloride volcanos. The bank heist. Flying across the back yard. Good thing I can easily keep fantasy and reality separate.

OP - You were on the AV Team? What was your record? :D

All I can remember these days is the blood... so much blood...

Random memories suck, especialy when you don't want to remember them. I'll usually imagine things when I see somebody commenting on something. Kind of like Blondie and helping that one dude evacuate and the 2 cats

This thread reminded me of the time my 8th grade foods teacher confiscated my key ring tape measure and never returned it. It ended up costing her a 20 dollar pen.
