Are there custom running shoes?
How much do good running shoes cost?
Wanna dance?

Yes - but truly custom ones can be expensive.
I'd look into New Balance if you have hard to fit feet. Their web site is very helpful in getting the sizing right, and you can order directly from them if you want. I don't know exactly how much, but I think you can get many of their models for under $100.00. Maybe even under $75.00 for some. They are good running shoes. If you have more "normal" sized feet, Nike, Adidas, Asics and some others make quite good shoes too (I'm not a fan of Reebok or Fila for running shoes).
No. I'd rather not dance.

Why are you asking about custom shoes? Do you have feet that don't comfortably fit in most shoes?
How far do you run in a typical week and often many days? This kind of information helps responding.

Go to a running store. Not a big, general sports store. They'll be able to recommend something suitable for the way you run and the way your foots is shaped. And, as with everything else, you can spend as much on shoes as you want. I typically stay in the $90 range.

No, I'm OCP. I have to have custom everything. :D
The shoes I have now suck.
I run about three miles a day, now.

Just about any good brand name shoe is good if you stick to three miles a day and aren't overweight or have some imbalance/structural problem. Years ago, wide variations existed in running shoes. Now they all are good.
There are custom running shoes and they run from $300 to as much as $500. If you are OCP, you can justify them without much difficulty.
Realistically shop for sales. If you aren't particular about a specific brand, you can find $90 shoes on sale for $50.

A good pair of running shoes will cost you around 100 buck (MRSP).
Check up Eastbay/Final score (http://www.eastbay.com/)and make a bargain.
Final Score (http://www.final-score.com/home/default.cfm?TID=6451-24120611040424110520981-0&tree_id=57831)has 20% on orders of $50 or more, meaning you'll get a very good pair for around $50
And yes. I'll be happy to dance with you :D

I use classic style Saucony's. They work great and don't hurt the wallet too much at 30-50 bucks.

EVERBODY knows I'm a poseur.
Even the local wrenches know I'm a poseur, and they like it, 'cause I'm usually half of thier commission pay for the week.

Agreed. I didn't know I was an overpronator; I just knew my feet hurt.
It's just like a bike fit, except bad shoes are more likely to cause injury, and the fit is cheaper.

Not only a poser, but an idiot troll.
