I've got a Kona Stinky 2001 with a fox vanilla r shock, it has a 550lb spring, 2" stroke and the rear wheel has 5" of travel. I weigh 170 lbs. I mostly ride urban stuff, and do quite a bit of drops and stairs, most of which have flat concrete landings. Yesterday I was out riding and after doing what must have been about a 4 foot vertical stair set, I thought my rear shock hadn't uncompressed following my landing. Needless to say it uncompressed moments later and I did the stairs a couple more times without issue. Today I was out riding again, and the shock once again got stuck while compressed, but this time it stayed compressed for about five minutes, when it finally uncompressed. I think something is wrong with the shock, but I don't know what to do (should I send it in to be rebuilt?). I don't think it bottomed out, though I could be wrong. Should I get a new, maybe harder spring (maybe because this spring is a few years old it's too soft for my weight?). Should I get a new shock, a different model perhaps? I'm going to be going to colorado in a month, and I don't want to be worrying about my suspension :) thanks
