Foo - advice on how to write a boring english paper

I am stuck. I have an outline due for an MLA research paper due tomorrow. My topic is
"How was American Naturalism the bridge between realism and modernism, and 19th and 20th century literature".

Does anybody have any advice for how to write a paper at least reasonably well that you genuinely don't care about?

One of the things I hope my future pre-med students (assuming I become a professor) learn in organic chemistry: Sometimes, you have to work hard on something even if you don't want to. A Harvard visiting professor found in the students' evaluation of his course one evaluation where a pre-med wrote that the most important thing he learned in the class was that there are times when he has to work hard even if he doesn't want to. He told the head TA that he was really happy to see that comment from that student. If he truly learned that and that was all he learned in the class, then I think the class served its purpose in teaching that student.

What you're facing now is little different. And you'll most certainly face similar situations in the future. Sit down at your desk, set all your distractions aside, and get the work done.

Well I've managed to start at last. I am changing my topic though, me may frown but I'm not even convinced that naturalism was the bridge. So the new topic is...

WEll I did it. The outline is done.
It, and the paper, will probably not be A+ quality. But I don't think it will be that bad either. If anything else, I have some good backup from reputable sources.

The best suggestion I find is to not try and write the paper all at once. I write some of the paper and then come back to it later and write some more. Also, your first draft should not be your final draft. Read the research paper out loud or have somene else read it to you. This way you can tell if the paper makes sense to the reader and find needed corrections.

Yeah, soooo much easier when I gave myself a week or so to do a 10 or more pager. The worst is waiting till the night before, been there too many times... Thank god I'm done with school.
