It's been many months since I've posted on BF. Some of you old timers might know me from the Travelogue touring section. While I'm taking an extended break from the big tour, I've found myself getting into other cool bike projects. I thought you all might get a kick out of this.

I started a vegetarian hot dog and sausage cart in Eugene, and pedal it a mile to my vending spot every day. I am using a Workman industrial trike fitted with a trailer hitch, which was welded by a local bikeshop that builds some cool rides (catoregon.org). For now, the bike is single speed. I tow the cart, fully loaded, and I also rigged my BOB trailer to the back for extra storage. It's a slow go, but I just take my time. Luckily the biggest hill is getting over the railroad tracks. However, I am looking into getting a 3 speed hub or even a bionx motor. I don't know if I can justify the cost of the latter.

Anyways, here's a pic.

The trike is off to the left, you can barely see the hitch.

Peace

Just wondering, why did you choose a trike instead of a bike?
