You did not give a model # or year, but you can start here:

http://www.shimano.com.au/publish/content/australia/en/cycling/customer_support/service_diagrams.html

There are four years of mountain components archived there. Just pick the year and, once on that page, find the link to the exploded parts view for your shifters.

You mean this?

http://cycle.shimano-eu.com/media/cycling/techdocs/en/bikecomponents/ST/EV-ST-M410-2437A_v1_m56577569830577042.pdf

You can find all these things at shimano.com

A lot of life is about having good timing ;-)))

It's interesting that these docs are archived on the EU Shimano site and the Australian Shimano site, but not the US Shimano site. What's with that? They would be my heroes if they'd take the time and archive all of their docs, including sales catalogs, going as far back as they could. That's what summer interns are for, right? :D :D :D

That does seem strange, I would have thought that the US would be their biggest market, surely it's the least they could do for people that fork out X dollars on expensive components.
