With the seat all the way down or with the seat up high enough to be able top grip your seat with your knees?

Try them both, you will like one of them better than the other. FYI, low seats are just a trend(unless you tailwhip or cancan).

it kinda depends what your trying to learn
tables and turndowns it might get in the way
barspins it'll help

It doesn't really matter. No one pinches on barspins anymore anyway.

Its whatever you like, most tech riders have higher seats, for all those weird tricks like hang fives, barspins(which, as A-1 said, most people dont pinch anymore), and for sitting!

Mines slammed, i like it out of the way for tables and moto whips, and its easier to flow stuff with a low seat, becuase you can move your legs more, and for turndowns, which im learning, i can do them fine with a slammed seat, since its slanted up a bit, giving my shoe/ankle room.
