View Full Version : Where to buy straps for 30" samsonite
Anyone know where to get the straps that I see around the outside of the 30" Samsonite that everyone uses for their folders. I got one of the cases for my BF but I would like the added security of the straps also.

I bought mine at Target. I used two small bolts w/washers to attach the strap to the bottom of the case.
What department at Target? I will swing by and pick some up.
Along those lines is there anything special you do when packing the bike in the case?

I found them where they keep the suitcases. They have a buch of travel accessories.
The most important thing to remember for packing is to use a crush protector. Mine is a simple PVC pipe with a flat disk on each end.

I went to home depot but didn't find any disks.
Would you mind telling us, where you found them? what are they made of?
Thanks
Thanks for the info, I got the crush protector with my case from BF so I am set with that.

Found this on google
You can get a crush protector from BF for $6 or you can go to Home Depot and
make your own for about $5.50. It consists of 2 single hole lamp-holder
covers (made by Red Dot), 1/2 inch PVC tubing cut to whatever width your
suitcase is, and two 1/2 inch PVC male adapters, threaded on the male side
and unthreaded on the female side.

Thanks. I knew that BF had them for $7 plus shipping, but thought I could make a couple of these for $5-$6.
