Road Cycling - 69 dollars p&p U.S.A to U.K. sheeesh

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Yes! thats what I was quoted for shipping a pair of Eggbeater pedals from Nashbar.
They seemed a real bargain at 49$ but adding on the p&p. No way.
:(
Guess i will just stick to buying in the U.K.
The cheapest I have seen here is £59.99 Thats appro` 110$ quite a contrast to what you guys pay over there.
Have you tried other on-line retailers?
Sierra Trading Post (http://www.sierratradingpost.com/) has them (item number 66939) for $59.99 and they ship to the UK. Don't know what the charges will be.
Ron!..... "Sierra Trading" looks a better deal.
Despite retailing there at $10 more.
According to their shipment abroad list, post and packing to the U.K. would cost $18...... Much more realistic!!
Makes me wonder, how can Nashbar be quoting $69....

there is a shop in northern ireland which had good prices (nashbar beating at times) but i forgot their website, if it was a better time of year I could bring things back for you, but my next trip home from the US won't be til june
I have a sister in Arizona for a few days that lives in Manchester... if you want to rush the shipment, I could have her send it to you when she gets back to Manchester. Or, I could have her fiance bring it back when he returns to Manchester from Arizona, although I'm not sure when he'll get back.
