Is it me or is the P8's saddle brutal? My Trek 1000's saddle never felt so good in comparison.
What are some good comfortable alternatives?

Why not get the same saddle as on your other bike?

Get the two piece seatpost from Thorusa, you can use any conventional saddle on it.
There are one and 2 piece seatposts with the conventional (2 rail) seat.
Then just use what ever seat you like.
The P8 seat took me a bit of getting used to. Try the old remedies like tilting or
raising or lowering the seat ot move it forward or rearward.
Or just get a new post and seat.

(I saw one yesterday that looked like a small toilet seat, interesting, but not for me)

Wow, what I great way to streamline your commute!
Got the 2 piece seatpost so I could use the Thud Buster and Brooks B-17 from my mountain bike, great combination.
I checked out ThorUSA and found:

The long awaited .... W I D E R .... SDG compatible seat. The velvet has much thicker padding and is wider, compared to the sporty I beam seat specified on some Dahon bikes. This is an I BEAM seat and will only fit on I Beam Seatposts.
so I wouldn't have to switch the seat post. This saddle looks a lot more comfortable than the stock saddle. What do you think?
