anybody using them? opinions? there was a review on fgg a little bit back and they seem to be much nicer than rim tape but. . .
do you ever get internal tube punctures from the area they don't cover?
how much do they cost/where can i get them online?

No problems yet; I've been using them on my race wheels this season so while they do get a lot of abuse they don't see a ton of mileage. No flats to speak of. I did sand the rim bed to get rid of any burrs before installing tire and tube, but no more than I would ordinarily. They seem like a good product, though they do fit Velocity's rims better than others (I have some Ritcheys and Spinergys they don't fit at all).

Thats the main drawback of the plugs, they're a lot more expensive than rim strips and fit only certain brands of rims well.
This place has 'em for 50c each, 48 for 16.80

BTW Velocity claim that they come in packets of 72 for retails sales and jars of a 1000 for shop use. So I guess these folks are just counting them out of the jar.
bags of 72 should cost 15-16$ at any bike shop that deals with velocity or has a qbp account. I have some, but haven't tried them out yet.

I threw some on my new wheels (Deep-V's) when I had my wheels built. I guess it's been a little over three months now and I've had no problems at all.
