An American TV show ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Amazing_Race ). Not specifically about bicycling. Never seen it myself, but I've heard of it.

The Amazing Race is a reality show with teams of two (except for the season before last, which was just crap) around the world. It has a lot of check points that equalize the teams, so pretty much anyone can win. And of course there is lots of potential for marketing (especially cars/airlines), which is how I found out about the neat folder. It definitelly looks like the Strida. Seemed to work well enough for the hippies ;), who were the only ones to use the folders in a challenge: they eventually won the race.
