The thing is, Gabbly is a product that works with any website, and it isn't a BikeForums-controlled product. So while this solution is great in that it gives us a chat solution (that I like and will continue to use as long as there's some good people on board), it is neither controllable by the mods nor removeable. (The link can be removed, but the product will still exist and work.)

Feature? Problem? A bit of both, really. Hopefully, though, if we can squint and filter out the bad, it can be a worthwhile tool.

For Firefox users:

To refresh your BF frame without refreshing the Gabbly frame, just rightclick on the BF frame then select This Frame>Refresh and Viola! Tres cool!

Something people should be aware of is that if there is no chat for a while
and you have not received a "last sent..." message then you probably got disconnected and you need to refresh to reconnect to the chat so you can see what people are saying. Seems to confuse alot of people who chat a bit and then think its dead.

Is this really the best service of this kind that we can use? I mean, how hard is it to set up something reliable like an irc server? Gabbly obviously has it in for me.
