Fifty Plus (50+) - Serfas Saddles - are they any good?

I saw a comment on another board about Serfas saddles being pretty good. Anyone have anything good or bad to say about them?
I have found the Serfas RX to be the most comfortable saddle that I have tried so far. But I think that everyone is pretty different. It is important to find a bike store that will put it on for you and let you test ride it and then take it off if you don't like it.

Different butts need different saddles.
Kay, my stoker, has over 10,000 miles on her Serfas Cosmos saddle on our Zona tandem and she likes it just fine.

I have a Serfas RX on a mountain bike and ride it pretty regularly up to 40 miles without any problems. One time I did feel like a nerve was a little haywire after a ride, but that's it. Its a good saddle, but not the same a broken in Brooks, IMHO.
Just wondering if I'm the only one who doesn't have problems with a saddle, it seems like no matter what saddle I have my body adjusts to it with no problem, heck for rides of under 30 miles I don't even put on my biking shorts. One of friends I ride with daily is constantly looking for the perfect seat and can't believe I can ride without the biking shorts all the time. I'm not small either 6'1 245 maybe my butt is so big it doesn't matter what I put under it or just plain lucky.

Not Lucky. Bl&&dy lucky It does not matter what saddle you choose- it will either be painful or uncomfortable. It all depends if your butt suits the saddle and then whether you can set it up for your riding style.
Only suggestion is to get it set up on a bike at the shop and sit on it- oreferably the day after a ride when you still have a little bit of pain from the previous day.
I have an 8-year-old Serfas ARC on the Bianchi, and Brooks on everything else. Works for me. :)

Ditto
My saddles are whatever came on the bike. I have never changed one.
lucky I guess. I rarely wear anything but regular everyday shorts any more. Never a problem.

I've been riding Serfas Monaco RS's for 6 yers or so now. I really like them. Unfortuately they quit making them:cry:. I have one left in the vault and then it's back to square one on the saddle front.

I have been riding the Serfas Acuna for about 2 months now and love it. I have tried 4 or 5 different saddles over the last 6 months and the Acuna is by far the best of the bunch. In fact, I intend to buy a second one for my other bike. I agree that saddles are an individual matter based on ones own body geometry. The nice thing about Serfas is that they offer a 90 day like-it-or-return-it guarantee. Can't do much better than that! I would recommend however confirming with your bike dealer that he understands and will honor that guarantee just in case the saddle does not work out.

I tried a Serfas RX saddle a couple of years ago. I'm a big guy, and pressed the padding down to where I was touching the plastic in the middle. It wasn't a nice feeling ride.

My riding style requires long periods of using Aero Bars. I own Brooks Pro and Champion Flyer. Either one cuts off blood supply to my vitals in Aero Bar position. My LBS sold me a Serfas for $65. End of story. It served me well for a 3000 mile tour.
BTW, my wife also likes her Serfas.

A great saddle if it works for you.
