Greetings all! I have been lurking around here for a while and finally decided to register. I live in North Queensland Australia. I used to race roadbikes about ten years ago and now I am into the mtb scene.

I look forward to talking to you all!

and one more welcome from an antipodean - just so you know that there are some of us on the board who aren't currently worried about commuting in the snow !

What is this "snow" stuff I keep hearing about, I am begining to wonder what this "rain" stuff is also.

Welcome to the board.

CHEERS.

thanks all:)

I was wondering how many Aussies were about. I have been intrigued by some of those 'do you ride in the winter' threads;) .That would have to be the nicest time of the year to ride up here.

Oh. and Dutchy. Rain is just a figment of your imagination:rolleyes:

Well, bfb2003, I don't know why you think I could get to Australia in September. I run an inn in New Hampshire (USA) and September is prime foliage season (That's when I have to work to make the bucks to bike at other times of the year) Right now I'm dealing with all that snow you guys only hear us whining about...although my commute isn't so bad. I have to go about 25 yards from one building to the next...not worth dragging the bike out for that. Thanks for noticing that I'm here.

ok, I have to fess up that I used a bulletin board keyword to make the logged username appear in my signature line. the phrase is { bbusername ** (but without the spaces). So all I did was use this phrase in my signature line, and each person who reads it, sees their username (or guest if not logged in).

clever....very clever! So, I learn something new today...I just may become computer literate after all.

Hope it's a great ride!
