Really glad that I found this site -- so much great info! I'm a 50+, regular commmuter in Honolulu, only 1.5 miles each way but with a spirited climb in both directions to help keep things real. Main wheels are my trusty Royal Scot 3-speed (with 23T cog to show them hills who's boss) and for more upscale occasions a relatively new Breezer Villager.
Most bizarre cycling experience: getting my photo taken during the annual Honolulu Century Ride (only did 25) and being told later by friends that it was plastered all over the Tokyo subway system in ads for the following year's ride:eek: !
