Hello to everyone out there.
I have a year old Tadpole that I was fiddling with for the entire season. The steering either hits the wheels or the seat, causing a functional limit to steering availability. I decided to make "above seat" steering for it. I removed the entire under seat bar sets, and added a folding upright stem from another SUN recumbent. The "T" bars are off a different manufacturer 'bent. There were some re-engineering to do with the cables and controls. Nothing anyone else who has built a bike from scratch can't do quickly. It NOW has a radically reduced steering radius. Before I had to backward crab and/or get off to get around a certain right angle walk. Now I can slowly turn the corner with room to spare. It can turn around almost on a single lane road. Speed has no detrimental effect (i.e; speed wobble, sudden flip over, etc.).
