Just picked up a nice little Specialized cruiserbike for the kid, and had to straighten out the badly-out-of-true wheels and such, and then adjust the also-misaligned cantis.
What a pain!

We have cantis on a couple of our older police bikes, and I have to say that the pads last near forever. They seem to require little adjustment once they're set up properly as well.

But trying to get 'em right when they're out of whack...You need at least three hands.

Just a rant....Move on.:D

Cantis are a breeze after setting up a chainstay-mounted rear 990 with a gyro and dual lower cables on a BMX frame running 28/10 gearing. It's no friggin' wonder so many kids are riding brakeless these days. ;P
