Road Cycling - Aegis Frames

Does anyone have any experience with Aegis frames? I am looking for a more comfortable ride (I Have a Cannondale R600) and I am interested in a frame on ebay.

Yes, because the seat tube has a rearward slope, Aegis Aro Svelte frames fit one size (or more) larger than conventional frames.

I have owned two Aegis frames. They are almost as rigid as aluminum frames yet the ride is much more comfortable.

IMHO Aegis frames are exotic and sexy. Anywhere but in the New England area they are a rare sight.

Aegis's paint work is beautiful, but in my experience, fragile. The two Aegis's I have owned were both prone to the paint chipping. With that, I am always extremely careful how I treat the bike...with "kid gloves". This is my one and only complaint with Aegis.

I'm very happy with my Aegis and recommend them to anyone.

One word ... wow!

I love my Aegis! I went from a small Cannondale frame to the Aegis Swift and the difference is incredible. The bike is such a comfortable ride that it just seems to disappear underneath you.
I agree that you have to be very careful with the paint job and you can't get touchup paint. Aegis won't ship it.

Really? That's a relatively new development, it's been a year or so since I ordered some from them with no problems.
