My, that caught your attention, didn't it?
seriously though, I found this on a link
posted on a Classic Rendezvous list and
it is by far the sexiest lugwork I have seen
this side of a Hetchins Magnum Bonum.
And its current stuff. Frame builder is
J.P. Weigle and his work is gorgeous.

Chewa,

Nice Lugs there. . .
Nervex pro lugs?
Of course the Nervex aren't made anymore, any you find
are NOS. The lugs from the Weigle are new
Pacenti Lugs.
I also love his painting, that headset absolutely drips
appeal to me. At least someone is keeping the flame
alive.

gotta appreciate lugs, they really do give a frame a retro look :)

Very pretty!

Some time back, when I was looking at websites for custom bicycle painters, I stumbled on a custom builder's site. He cut some of the prettiest lugs I've ever seen...scrollwork, dragons, your name, whatever the customer wanted. He also put a little charm or mojo on every frame he built. That was his trademark.

I have looked, but can't find that website. I wish I remember the builder's name. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

oo baby, oo baby... oo... stop, I am getting turned on... Tubing creation is perverted artistry and is tantamount to something, I am just not sure what .......... :D

Found it! Check out the lug work on Bohemian Bicycles (http://www.bohemianbicycles.com/). Navigate to his galleries and try not to drool on the keyboard.

For what it's worth, I think the coolest use of lugs has to be the Nitto lugged stem (http://www.rivendellbicycles.com/general/lug_stem.html). If I could only justify the price tag.

Marty, I hope you didn't post that pic at work! (You know how some people feel about internet porn!)

When I saw this thread from Lotek with a paper-clip icon by the title, I said to myself, "It's gotta be a bike!"

;)

Thanks for the thread. Yes, there is nothing like a well-crafted, lugged frame. I shall have to dig up my pictures of the unique hand-crafted lugs on my 1959 Capo.
