Training & Nutrition - I blew it today

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I totally blew my diet today. I drank 2 cans of coke, a 32 oz pepsi, and two glasses of pepsi at Hardrock Cafe.I also ate two KK donuts, a bagel sandwhich, and a Cajun Chicken sandwich. I went to Myrtle Beach to help my aunt and uncle move into a new condo, and to pick up the new car they bought my sister.I hated to drink all that soda, but nothing hits the spot when your tired and hot like a soda. The donuts and bagel sandwhich were for breakfast. And the Cajun chicken sandwhich was for supper at Hardrock.Oh yeah, I ate a bunch of nachos with Jalapeno's and refried beans on them too, and french fries.Pretty bad huh?
I think I am going to start a "punk rock cafe" chain. I really didn't like any of the music they played at Hardrock, I think if I worked there I would have to have a lifetime rx for motrin.
Fubar, if anybody deserves to break their diet, it's you. You work hard, you study hard, you help your family members move, and above all you post hard! You deserve a break today! (Hmm, wonder if I could sell that as a slogan to a fast-food chain....)

I'm inclined to disagree, but that's because I stopped drinking pop about 3 years ago, and I haven't looked back. Of course, soda may be different. I've never had soda. I'm from Minnesota, and in Minnesota, we drink pop. Then again, we also play duck-duck grey duck. Go figure.

Yeah, and you wear those funny caps with ear flaps... But you also possess the source of the mighty Mississippi, so I guess it all evens out somehow.

Oooh, watch out, you may be talking about our next President...
I went on a ride today(Sunday). It was the first ride I've gone on in a couple weeks(besides commuting to work). I couldn't believe how out of shape I'd gotton. I went to the hill that has been kicking my butt. I did pretty good despite my present out of shape shape. Next time I'll make it all the way to the top without taking a breather.

Go for it Fubar!
Don't worry about falling off your diet occasionally, it's what keeps us all sane!
Ever notice how every once in a you get a craving for something? Your body is trying to tell you it's missing something, even if it is sugar or fat.
As long as it doesn't become a habit and you keep exercising, and commuting is that, no problem!
