Fifty Plus (50+) - Accomplishments Page on the Rogue's Gallery

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I am going to start an accomplishments page (http://members.aol.com/bfn50gallery/) on the Rogue's Gallery for folks like JPPE, Will Dehne, Blue Hwy 40, nmichell, Stapfam and others who have met the goals they have set for themselves, whatever that goal might be.

And, it doesn't have to be spectacular. Perhaps you goal is to have fun, and you did! Or, to ride 3,000 miles in a year. Or ride your mountain bike to the top of Mt Everest. Or whatever!

Anyway, if you would like to appear on the accomplishments page, or would like to suggest someone, click below on the contribute link with you suggestion and a link to a thread on this forum where it describes the accomplishment! And humor is encouraged.

I hope this works. I already have 5 folks there.

Denver,

Allow me to thank you for all of the great work you do for this forum and the Rogue's Gallery. I hope you know it's appreciated.

Hopefully, later this year I'll be providing you with details of my little goal of completing an unsupported crossing of Iowa (late August). My wife and I are hosting a 17-year-old German boy who also likes to ride, and he and I plan to make the crossing from Omaha to Illinois. My wife has a high school class reunion in Illinois, and she'll drop us off on the way. The young man is a German national pentathalon champion, so I'll probably pay hell trying to keep up with him, but it should be interesting. I've done that many miles (~300 miles) in 3-4 days before, but never in a straight line. One guy actually crossed Iowa in just over 10 hours. I expect it will take us about double that.

Thank you.

It is sometimes a bit hard to keep up with all the various characters - Monica, Gary Diego, BB, GG, BP, DG and all. But it is fun.

I will be awaiting your report. Just post it on a thread and alert me and I will link the RG with it.
