Check out this ebay auction. Has anybody heard of motobecane tandems? Any thoughts? How much is this bike worth? I've been toying with the idea of a tandem, but so far I haven't wanted to drop the cash.

In the 70s there were several French tandems pedaled around in the US including Moto'B, Follis, LeJeune, Gitane, Gottfried. Several are still in use today. Don't know if any of these real French tandem bikes are still being produced, except for the Follis.
Do a low bid . . . and see what develops. Definitely not more than $500.
Might (probably does) have French threading. Hard to find parts....

I know of at least one well known bike builder who bought a Motobecane tandem a year or two ago and is very happy with it. Good value, I believe he said.

It sold for $330.00 complete with kid stoker kit. How badly could you get hurt at that price?
