Hi Everybody,
I dropped this in the Classic & Vintage forum, but thought I'd ask here as well.
I want to swap out my old Sakae BB and Silstar/Raleigh crankset for something more updated and lighter. Does anyone know the size BB and crankset (single chainring for a fixed gear) I will need to maintain a 42mm chainline.
Thank you very much for any help that can be provided.

That said, Sugino RD cranks with a shimano 110 or 107 mm UN72 or UN52 will give you around a 42 mm chainline. Or just about any track-specific crank and its standard BB.

Thanks Aeroplane; you're ever the helpful kat. true bout the track cranks and associate bb. didn't think of it like that, but totally makes sense. a 105 bb with that sugino rd makes sense for the 42mm chainline, but 105's seem hard to find. Anyway, good lookin out; I'll know what to look for now when the time arises.
Peace.
