Is there a website anyone knows of where I can get a list of how many calories a given activity burns and also a list of how many calories are in certain foods? Most pre packaged foods list the calorie content, but I would like to know the content of things like fresh vegetables etc. I am trying to figure out how many calories I use in a day versus how many I take in.

Try www.exrx.net/Calculators.html and check out "Calories expended","calorie requirements"and "food exchanges" links plus other diet/nutrition links they lead to and you should be able to get this info plus work out a complete plan if desired. If you need more detailed nutrient info including calories the most complete source is www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/cgi-bin/nut_search.pl where you enter any food into the search and hit enter (calories=kcal).

I really like www.caloriesperhour.com

They have amazing amounts of activities and often in more than 1 energy level/speed. E.g. (and why would I pick this :o ) having sex (low-moderate-vigorous if I recall well) and bailing hay...
