Sub forum here? I have also been asked about a Downhill / Freeride forum, comments?

Well, I guess the main MTB forum would turn into the MTB "general disussion" of sorts. I think it would be coolio though, and having the specific forums may attract more users.

A bikeforums makeover is due, joe maybe check out ridemonkey a little and make a whole mountain biking section like they have with downhill, freeride, winter biking, trials, singlespeed and all that other stuff and then have the bicycle topics section for tandem, road, saftey, womens, commuting and all that other stuff?

I'm all for a singlespeed subforum, since I am in the process of building up a singlespeed conversion now and have had a couple of questions that would have been appropriate to ask there.

Downhill / freeriding would be an awesome idea. We have enough dh/freeriders to make it a busy forum.

I think taking a page from ridemonkey might be a good idea as they have it split pretty well :)

DH/ Freeride yes (another request) but single speed is another good one. It's gaining popularity. After I get the current project going, and later if I get the BMX frame I requested for my birthday, a good simple single speed sounds like all that's left for me.

I'm not all that much of a follower of sub-forums, but at least a DH/freeride sub would be cool. On this forum a SS sub would be overkill for now I think. But just give me time :D , I think I can drag all the traffic from the other forums here if given enough time.

I'm totally for a ss forum and a seperate DH/FR forum, and while you're at it, I'd suggest a Beginner's Forum.

What I'd really like is a regional forum!

I agree with some of the other ideas on here..one, that this sight could us a bit of an update, also I like the SS idea and the DH/FR idea....and also I really like the regional idea. It'd be easier to get people together for rides and functions...like trail maintenance, and whats going on in general with the development of trails and people we can contact dealing with any trail closures and what we can do about it.... :crash:

If it has derailleur's it doesn't belong, it's a vagrant, that's what the SS forum policy will be...:D
